Key Information

What is a roof repair?

Roof repairs require focused attention on the specific areas in which the problems are showing from. No two repairs are ever the same, as what might work on one roof may not work on another. Our experience and skill set at Bennett Roofing enables us to quickly locate the problem, find out the cause of the problem and then implement an efficient solution to the problem.

EPDM Rubber Flat Roof

EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) rubber has gained popularity due to its exceptional flexibility and resilience. After extensive testing, EPDM rubber is expected to last up to 50 years. This rubber membrane can be customised to fit the roof’s dimensions, reducing potential weak points. The installation involves applying a water-based deck adhesive to the timber deck, followed by a high-strength solvent-based bonding adhesive to secure edges and up stands. EPDM is a low-maintenance, long-lasting option for flat roofing.

Chimney Lead Flashing Replacement

This chimney stack in Kingston upon Thames was leaking from various different places. The most effective solution was to renew the lead flashing around the chimney stack leaving the homeowner nice and dry.

Ridge Line Re-Cemented

These half round ridges in new Malden were in desperate need of attention as water ingress was showing directly below them. Our team decided to carefully take the ridges off, clean them up and then reinstall them using a strong sand and cement mortar mix. This was the most cost effective option for the client and resulted in a neat and tidy finish.

This client in Putney had various different leaks on one side of their pediment and also leading into the valley. Rather than suggesting to renew the whole side of the roof we localised the repair, stripping out the problem area and replaced with new.

Our client over in Esher was experiencing cracks in their ash-felt bay roof. The team decided to apply a thick coating of liquid monoseal. This allowed them to overcome the limited space that they had to work in, leaving the client with a watertight seamless finish.
